
Monday’s trading session was a loss for the Indian stock market. The main indices traded in a limited range in the market today. BSE Sensex fell 139.58 points or 0.21 per cent to 65,665.15 and Nifty fell 37.80 points or 0.19 points. The number of shares falling in the market was more than those rising.
Light buying was seen in midcap stocks. Selling was seen in smallcap and largecap. Sector wise, Auto, Fin Service, FMCG, Metal, Realty, Media, Energy, Private Bank, Infra, Realty and Oil Gas indices closed in the red. At the same time, huge buying was seen in Pharma, IT and PSU banks.

In the Sensex pack, Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, Titan, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and SBI closed in the green. Whereas, Bajaj Finance, M&M, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, HUL, Asian Paints, JSW Steel, L&T, Axis Bank, ITC, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, Nestle, Reliance, NTPC, Power Grid, Infosys, ICICI and HDFC Bank was among the rising stocks.

There was a rise in most of the markets in Asia. There was a rise in the markets of Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok and Jakarta. Only Japan’s markets closed in the red. Mixed trading is taking place in most of the European markets. US markets closed in the green in Friday’s session. Crude oil benchmark Brent crude is trading at $ 81.40 per barrel, up one percent. At the same time, WTI crude is also up by one percent at $ 76.84 per barrel.

Bombay Stock Exchange’s benchmark Sensex opened 47 points weaker at 65747.53 and National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also slipped 4.70 points to open at 19727.10.
