These shares fell the most
The biggest decline among Nifty pack shares was recorded in Coal India by 4.80 percent. Apart from this, a decline of 4.27 percent was recorded in Hero MotoCorp, 3.89 percent in BPCL, 3.66 percent in ONGC and 2.69 percent in Tata Steel. Apart from this, shares of Dr Reddy, Apollo Hospital Divis Lab, Wipro and HCL Tech registered a rise.
Huge selling in PSU banks
Talking about sectoral indices, shares of media and PSU banks have fallen the most. Nifty Media Index closed with a fall of 4.46 percent today. At the same time, Nifty PSU Bank index closed down by 4.43 percent. After this, Nifty Metal closed down by 2.40 percent. Similarly, there was a decline of 2.62 percent in Nifty Oil & Gas, 0.88 percent in Nifty Consumer Durables, 2.97 percent in Nifty Realty, 1.66 percent in Nifty Private Bank, 1.07 percent in Nifty FMCG, 1.65 percent in Nifty Bank and 1.41 percent in Nifty Financial Services.
