Air pollution situation in Delhi-NCR ‘very bad’

Delhi Air Pollution: The air pollution situation in the national capital Delhi does not seem to be improving. Delhi’s air quality on Monday was recorded at 331 which indicates ‘very poor’ category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, on November 19, there was a slight decline in the air pollution level in the areas around Delhi. Let us tell you that the minimum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius on Monday. The visibility is 1500 meters. AQI 395 has been recorded in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, 388 in Punjabi Bagh, 381 in Rohini, 376 in Nehru Nagar, 364 in Anand Vihar, 359 in Sonia Vihar, AQI 358 in Patparganj.

Delhi’s air quality ‘very bad’

Whereas the air quality has been recorded as ‘poor’ in Delhi’s Pusa, Vivek Vihar, Noida Sector-1, Dilshad Garden and Lodhi Road. Let us tell you that in the last few days, many cases of stubble burning have come to light in Punjab and Haryana. Due to the rain in the past few days, there was a huge decline in the level of pollution. However, by the time Diwali approached, the air quality once again started deteriorating and now the air quality has reached the category of very poor. Continuous action is being taken by the state governments regarding stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana. However, there is no significant reduction in the cases of stubble burning.

Delhi became a gas chamber

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the air quality in Delhi remained in the ‘very poor’ category on Sunday. Let us tell you that there has been a slight improvement in air quality on Sunday as compared to Saturday. AQI 313 was recorded on Sunday. AQI 398 was recorded at many places on Saturday morning. According to Central Pollution Control Board i.e. CPCB, AQI 325 has been recorded in RK Puram.
