Till now RLD had alliance with SP
RLD was till now a part of the India alliance with Samajwadi Party and a few days ago, SP chief Samajwadi Party had also announced this alliance afresh. During this time it was said that RLD would contest elections on seven Lok Sabha seats. But perhaps Jayant Choudhary did not like this compromise and he started talking about joining NDA through a minister in Modi government.
Jayant met Amit Shah and JP Nadda on Wednesday
In this sequence, on Wednesday night, Jayant Chaudhary met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda. In this meeting the matter regarding alliance was decided. In this, talks on alliance agreement were also confirmed. According to sources, RLD will contest from Baghpat and Bijnor seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Apart from this, BJP will also give him a Rajya Sabha seat. Along with this, an MLC of the party will also be made in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, he will also be given a place in the central and state cabinets.
TDP can also join NDA
Apart from RLD in Uttar Pradesh, NDA can also get a new partner in South India. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N. Chandrababu Naidu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda in Delhi late on Wednesday night to discuss a tripartite electoral alliance for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that talks between the two parties regarding the alliance have been completed and it will be announced soon.
