Violence in Haldwani.

The violence that took place in Banbhulpura of Haldwani, Uttarakhand has shocked the entire country. The situation became such that the administration had to impose curfew and orders were issued to shoot the rioters on sight. Now state DGP Abhinav Kumar has said on Friday that action will be taken under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against those who attacked police personnel and indulged in arson and vandalism in Haldwani. The DGP has also visited the violence-hit city to assess the situation in consultation with the ADG and other senior officials. Meanwhile, the names of those who lost their lives in the violence have also been released by the police.

Here are the names of those who lost their lives

District Information Officer, Nainital has released the names of the deceased in the violence in Haldwani. According to the information given by the government, a total of 05 people had died in the incident of violence last night. In which Faeem Qureshi, Zahid, Mohd. Anas, Shabban and Prakash Kumar have been identified as deceased. Apart from this, 07 injured are undergoing treatment in Base Hospital, 03 in Krishna Hospital, 03 in Sushila Tiwari Hospital, and 01 in Brijlal Hospital.

Situation currently under control

DGP Abhinav Kumar has said that the situation has come under control to a great extent with the imposition of curfew, but currently efforts are focused on bringing back normalcy in the city within the next 24 hours. After the violence that broke out in the city, high alert has been issued in the entire state. At the same time, many companies of central security forces have also been called to control the violence.

CM Dhami visited Haldwani

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haldwani to take stock of the situation after the violence in Banbhulpura. During this time, after reaching the hospital, he also met the victims. During this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the work of removing encroachment was going on by the administration as per the court order. There the administration has been attacked in a planned manner. He said that strict action will be taken against those who have done this wrong thing. (input language)
