Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, who reached Haldwani on Friday, met the victims and said that the police has started the process of identifying the accused and after identifying each face, they will be made to compensate for the loss. Not only this, schools, colleges and markets will remain closed in Haldwani even today. Police have registered a case against 5 thousand people in the riot case.
Property worth around Rs 6 crore reduced to ashes
Information has been received that even today no one is allowed to go to violence affected Banbhulpura. The assessment done by the Municipal Corporation and the Police Department has revealed that property worth about Rs 6 crores was destroyed in this violence. However, after the violence in Banbhulpura, the situation is gradually improving. There has been no news of any new violence today, but the administration has imposed curfew.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind delegation will go to Haldwani
Meanwhile, today the delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind is going to Haldwani. This delegation will meet the families of the victims. In fact, violence broke out in Banbhulpura of Haldwani after stones were pelted at the administration team that had come to demolish illegal madrassas on Thursday following the order of the High Court. The mob set fire to several vehicles and the police station. After this, curfew was imposed in the city and orders were issued to shoot the miscreants at sight. Now there is strict police vigil in the area.
More than one and a half thousand police personnel deployed
Preparations have been made to impose NSA on the miscreants. Each miscreant is being identified. Police teams are making arrests. This means that those who caused this condition of the city will now have to face the consequences. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami himself reached Haldwani and met the victims and learned about the condition of the city. At present, more than one and a half thousand police personnel are deployed in entire Haldwani. From security point of view, 4 companies of Para Military Force and 4 companies of PAC are carrying out flag march in sensitive areas. The Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand herself reached the place in Banbhulpura where the violence took place.
