The second semi-final match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024 was played at Willmore Park, Binoi, in which Australia Under-19 team won the match by 1 wicket and secured their place in the final. In this match, Pakistani Under-19 team, who came to bat first, was all out after scoring only 179 runs in 48.5 overs. While chasing the target, the Australian Under-19 team had lost 9 wickets till the score of 164, but in the end the team managed to win the match by 1 wicket and ended the match with 5 balls to spare. .

Oliver Pyke and Rafe McMillan played important roles

Chasing the target of 180 runs, the Australian Under team lost its first wicket at the score of 33, after which the team had lost 4 wickets till the score of 59. However, from one end, Harry Dixon continued to take the score forward. However, he returned to the pavilion after playing an inning of 50 runs. The Australian Under 19 team had lost half its team at the score of 102. From here, Oliver Pyke worked to lead the team to victory in which he got the support of Raf McMillan. While Pyke was out after playing an inning of 49 runs, McMillan returned after scoring 19 runs and remained unbeaten till the end, giving his team a ticket to the final. Pakistani bowlers performed well in the match but could not succeed in leading the team to victory. For Pakistan, Ali Raza took 4 wickets with the ball while Arafat Minhas took 1-1 wicket.

There will be a clash with India in the final

The final match of Under 19 World Cup 2024 will now be played between India and Australia on 11 February at Villemore Park, Benoi. Both the teams have faced each other twice in the title match in the history of the tournament, in which the Indian team has won both times. In this edition, both India and Australia have not faced defeat in even a single match.
