You may be a little surprised but it is true that driverless metro train can start in Bengaluru soon. The first train has been delivered to Chennai port from China. According to the report, after getting custom clearance, it will be transported to Bangalore.
Trial will start after assembly
It is being told that after reaching Bengaluru, this driverless train will be prepared in the Electronic City. Here the team of engineers will assemble it. This special driverless train will be trialled on the yellow line connecting Mommasandra to RV Road through Silk Board. After the trial, its report will be sent to the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety.
Many facilities will be available in the train
According to railway officials, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, it can have 3 to 6 coaches. Space has been well taken care of inside the coach. Along with this, CCTV cameras will also be installed in it. Not only this, charging ports for phones and laptops will also be provided in this driverless train for the convenience of passengers.
This driverless train can run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, automatic technology has been used in this train which will have GPS, signal reading, timing sequence technology. At present, testing of this train can continue for one year.
