He graduated from the department with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering in August. According to his LinkedIn profile, the 23-year-old Indian student was scheduled to graduate from the doctoral program in 2025.
Last month also an Indian student was found dead in the same university.
Even before this, a student studying in the same university was also found dead last month. Neel Acharya, an Indian student studying at Purdue University in Indiana in the United States, was found dead after being reported missing. Officers were called around 11:30 a.m. The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office said a “college-aged male” was found dead on Purdue’s campus. This happened when another Indian student named Vivek Saini was brutally murdered with a hammer while being a homeless drug addict inside a store in Lithonia, Georgia.
Victim’s wife appeals to Jaishankar for help
It is noteworthy that in the latest incident on Tuesday, an Indian student was fatally attacked in Chicago, America. The victim is an Indian student from Hyderabad, named Syed Mazahir. In this regard, the Indian Consulate has assured Ali and his family of all possible help. The Indian Consulate in Chicago has said that it is in touch with the wife of the victim Syed Mazahir.
