Pakistan Politics: The world watched Pakistan’s elections. The world also saw how there were delays and irregularities. Britain, America and the United Nations themselves have raised questions about the irregularities and freedom of expression in the elections held in Pakistan. In such a situation, Pakistan rejected these allegations. Meanwhile, politics of manipulation has also started with the election results in Pakistan. Imran supported candidates have won big in Pakistan. The number of such candidates is 101. Whereas Nawaz Sharif’s party PML-N has been able to win 75 seats. The third largest party has been Bilawal Bhutto’s ‘PPP’. A party needs 133 seats to form government in Pakistan. In such a situation, coalition politics has started. Efforts for alliance are going on in the parties of Bilawal and Nawaz. In such a situation, which party will be invited to form the government. This is the biggest question.
Who will get the call to form the government?
Imran Khan’s party has emerged as the largest party in Pakistan. But technically Nawaz Sharif’s party is the biggest. Because she has contested the election on one symbol. The ‘bat’ election symbol that Imran Khan’s party had asked for was cancelled. In this context, the biggest party has become PML-N Nawaz’s party. Because as a party, 75 of their candidates have won. Whereas Imran supported candidates win on different election symbols. In such a situation, Nawaz Sharif’s claim seems to be getting stronger.
Shahbaz met Asif Ali Zardari?
Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif has entrusted the responsibility to his brother and former PM Shahbaz Sharif to form an alliance after discussing with all the parties. Shahbaz Sharif discussed with Bilawal’s party and talked about running the government with a coalition. But Sherry Rehman, leader of Bilawal’s party PPP, said that the doors are open for all parties. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Shahbaz met Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari. However, during this time, Zardari bluntly told Shahbaz that ‘if there is an alliance, then Bilawal should be made the Prime Minister. PPP also said that if the post of PM is not given then it is better to sit in the opposition.
Where is the problem for Nawaz?
In such a situation, the problem is that if Bilawal’s party does not support and decides to sit in the opposition, then how will Nawaz Sharif’s government be formed? In such a situation, there is also discussion that Nawaz Sharif’s party can offer the post of President to Asif Ali Zardari. If this happens, Nawaz Sharif can become the Prime Minister and Asif Ali Zardari can become the President.
Demand to release Imran Khan intensifies
On the other hand, amidst the politics of manipulation, Imran Khan’s party PTI President Gauhar Khan has demanded from Army Chief General Asim Munir to release all the political prisoners of PTI including Imran. PTI had also demonstrated on Sunday alleging rigging. During this period 300 people were arrested. People supporting Imran have also filed petitions challenging this election. Most of the petitions have been filed in Lahore High Court.
